Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jobe Bellingham has spoke of the valuable experience he gained during his first season at the club.
Joining from Sunderland in 2025, the midfielder made 45 appearances in all competitions for the BVB last season and bagged five assists too.
He also struck a goal at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, getting on target against South African side Mamelodi Sundowns in a narrow 4-3 victory that remains his only strike for the club so far.
Bellingham, who is currently preparing for the 2026-27 campaign by actively featuring in their preseason games, feels the challenges of playing in the Bundesliga have helped him evolve.
""I've played a lot of games in my career, and I'm not a young kid anymore. There are a lot of players who are younger than me, and I feel like I've got the experience.""he said during Dortmund's Japan tour
Indeed, at just 20, Bellingham has clocked 165 appearances in his club career with Birmingham City, Sunderland and now Borussia Dortmund.
He's the younger brother of former BVB ace and current Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham. And while his run hasn't been as glorious so far, Jobe believes he has what it takes to step up to the plate for his team with all the experience he's gained so far.

Despite his relatively young age, Bellingham further revealed that he'd like to become a guiding figure for the younger players around him at Dortmund, for whom the Englishman also wants to help achieve their ambitions.

His hefty price tag of £27.8 million, which made him the second most expensive signing in Dortmund's history behind Ousmane Dembele, brings the added pressure to deliver as expectations will be higher from him in the 2026-27 season.
Borussia Dortmund return to action on Saturday, 1 August against FC Tokyo for their second and final match of the Japan tour before continuing their preseason in Europe against Arsenal at te Emirates and AS Roma at the Westfalonstadion.
