Borussia Dortmund extended their winning run in the Bundesliga to six games with an emphatic 4-0 thumping of Mainz on Friday. Serhou Guirassy was at the double while Maximilian Beier and Ramy Bensebaini were on target too.
Having relied on some late goals to win their last two top-flight matches, Der BVB were back to their ruthless self again and struck thrice in the first half through set-pieces, all headers as Niko Kovac's side secured a comprehensive 3-0 lead at the break.
Mainz, who came into the fixture on the back three consecutive league wins, were blown away at the Signal Iduna Park but there was more misery to follow in the second half as their failure to clear a corner led to Bensebaini adding a fourth to the scoreline.
