Borussia Dortmund beat Villarreal 3-2 to start their new UEFA Champions League season on a winning note.
In-form striker Serhou Guirassy emerged as their hero with a late double, although he later headed the ball into his own net in stoppage-time to reduce the deficit to just one goal again.
It was a cagey affair in the first half with the BVB once again struggling to add a clinical edge to their chances though an own goal from Renato Veiga in the 53rd minute finally broke the deadlock.

Joey Veerman - 7: Dictated tempo as the deepest lying midfielder; sprayed passes all around the pitch but was second-best in his duels.
