13 Borussia Dortmund players called up for international duty

The second international break of the 2024/25 season is here, and a total of 13 Borussia Dortmund players will be away with their respective national teams.
Julian Nagelsmann has included three Borussia Dortmund players in his latest Germany squad. Nico Schlotterbeck, Waldemar Anton, and Pascal Groß will look to help Germany defeat Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League.
Also in Nations League action will be Marcel Sabitzer, who is set to captain Austria for their matches against Kazakhstan and Norway. Representing Norway will be Julian Ryerson as they take on Slovenia and Austria.
The Netherlands have included Donyell Malen in their squad to take on Hungary and Germany in the Nations League. While Switzerland's newly appointed first-choice goalkeeper Gregor Kobel will look to spearhead their hopes against Serbia and Denmark.
Serhou Guirassy back in Guinea squad; Maximilian Beier gets Germany U-21s call-up
Serhou Guirassy is back in the Guinea squad for their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double header against Ethiopia. The BVB striker will hope to continue his fine run of form while on international duty. Ramy Bensebaini and Algeria will play two AFCON qualifiers against Togo.
Maximilian Beier has been named in the Germany U-21s squad for their European Championship qualifiers against against Bulgaria and Poland. He will hope to get on the scoresheet and find some form with the U-21s, much like Karim Adeyemi did last month.
Jamie Gittens will also hope to make his mark as he has been called up to the England U-21s squad for their Euro U-21 qualifers against Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
The Germany U-19s will take part in a four-team tournament in Romania in the coming days, and Borussia Dortmund duo Almugera Kabar and Kjell Wätjen have been called up for fixtures against Spain, Romania, and Norway.
