3. Julian Ryerson

This is Julian Ryerson's first full season in a Borussia Dortmund shirt, so he had more chance of improving his numbers. However, I don't think BVB fans expected the turnaround of the right-back. 

Despite playing only half a season last time out, Ryerson is yet to meet his appearance tally from last season, this time out. This is largely due to his 2023/24 season being plagued by injury setbacks. 

However, Ryerson has been an invaluable asset to BVB when he has played and he has shown significant improvement. This season, he has scored four goals and provided one assist, improving his tally from last campaign of one goal and one assist, despite playing less games.

Now that Ryerson is getting a consistent run-out again. fans expect a strong end to the season if he remains injury free. Certainly, he has bolstered the BVB defence and been a tremendous addition to the team, so he makes this list of most improved Dortmund players (in no particular order).
