Former Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic could join AC Milan, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic reportedly in talks with his entourage.
After being linked with a move to AS Roma on Wednesday morning, Edin Terzic is now attracting the interest of another Italian club. According to Sky Sport, AC Milan are eyeing the former Borussia Dortmund head coach to replace Paulo Fonseca.
Could former Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic be Serie A bound?
The report adds that AC Milan boss Zlatan Ibrahimovic has already held talks with Terzic and his entourage, with Fonseca in serious danger of being sacked just a few months after his appointment.
AC Milan will face arch-rivals Inter in the Italian Serie A this weekend, and defeat could spell curtains for Fonseca, who saw his side lose to Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday and has endured a difficult start to the season.
Meanwhile, Terzic (or Thomas Tuchel) will not be joining AS Roma as they are appointing Ivan Jurić as their next head coach after parting ways with Daniele de Rossi.
Terzic is currently a free agent, having resigned from his role as Borussia Dortmund head coach at the end of last season. The 41 year old led the Black and Yellows to the final of the UEFA Champions League last season. AC Milan were one of the teams BVB defeated en route to the final. The run also included wins over the likes of Newcastle United, PSV Eindhoven, Atletico Madrid, and PSG.
Terzic also won the DFB-Pokal with BVB in 2021, and came very close to winning the Bundesliga title in the 2022/23 season.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Edin Terzic, who has also held assistant coaching roles at West Ham United and Besiktas in the past.
