The injuries are piling up for both Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, just seven days away from Der Klassiker.

Germany's biggest fixture will take centre-stage next weekend as Borussia Dortmund make the trip to Bavaria to take on Bayern Munich. The Black and Yellows will be desperate to end their barren run of form against the reigning Bundesliga champions, and also put a damper on their slim title hopes in the process.

Thomas Tuchel's side may well have to make do without Manuel Neuer for their clash against Borussia Dortmund. The goalkeeper was forced to withdraw from the Germany squad after picking up a muscle fibre tear.

While the injury is not a serious one, Bayern Munich goalkeeping coach Michael Rechner has revealed that Neuer is unlikely to be able to face Borussia Dortmund.

In addition, Harry Kane is dealing with an ankle injury and is set to miss England's fixtures across the international break. It remains to be seen if he will be fit in time for Der Klassiker. The striker scored a hat-trick in the reverse fixture as Bayern Munich claimed a 4-0 win.

Bayern will also be without January signing Sacha Boey next weekend, although former BVB left-back Raphaël Guerreiro could make his return to the squad.

Borussia Dortmund have a few injury issues of their own. Gregor Kobel was forced to drop out of the Switzerland squad, having already missed four of BVB's last six games before the international break. While Ramy Bensebaini picked up an injury during Algeria's friendly against Bolivia on Friday and was forced off after just 19 minutes. Marcel Sabitzer will also miss the trip to his former club, as he is suspended following his red card against Werder Bremen.
