Donyell Malen continued his sublime run of form on Friday evening, as he came off the bench and scored for the Netherlands in their 4-0 win over Scotland.

The Netherlands continued their preparations for Euro 2024 with an impressive 4-0 win over Scotland. Tijjani Reijnders opened the scoring late in the first-half, before headers from Georginio Wijnaldum and Wout Weghorst put the game beyond any doubt. Donyell Malen then put the icing on the cake by showing great composure to seal the 4-0 win.

The Borussia Dortmund forward came off the bench in the 77th minute and found the back of the net just nine minutes later, as he fended off pressure from two defenders before lifting the ball past the goalkeeper.

Ramy Bensebaini was forced off in the 19th minute of Algeria's friendly match against Bolivia. Algeria claimed a 3-2 win in what was a topsy-turvy contest. The hope at Borussia Dortmund will be that his injury is not a serious one.

Julian Ryerson was left out of the matchday squad as Norway suffered a 2-1 defeat against the Czech Republic. Salih Özcan was an unused substitute for Turkey as they were beaten by Hungary, courtesy of Dominik Szoboszlai's penalty.

There was also frustration for the Germany U-21s, as they could only manage a goalless draw against Kosovo. Youssoufa Moukoko was on the pitch for 72 minutes but was unable to help his team find the back of the net. Jamie Bynoe-Gittens came on in the 74th minute and helped the England U-21s claim a 5-1 win over Azerbaijan.
