Borussia Dortmund midfielder Gio Reyna in talks to join Nottingham Forest

Gio Reyna is increasingly likely to secure a move away from Borussia Dortmund in the coming days, with the attacking midfielder in talks to join Nottingham Forest.
It is being reported that Gio Reyna has already reached an agreement with the English Premier League side to join on an initial loan deal. According to the Athletic, Nottingham Forest are pushing to include an option to make the signing permanent at the end of the season.
Reyna changed agents recently, signing with Jorge Mendes, who also represents Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espírito Santo. The USMNT international was born in England, where he will hope to revitalise his career.
The 21 year old is keen to leave Borussia Dortmund this month, having fallen out of favour under Edin Terzic. Reyna has been reduced to a bit-part role this season, and has been on the pitch for a total of just 337 minutes so far. And with his contract expiring at the end of next season, his decision to push for a move is certainly no surprise.
A number of details still need to be resolved before the move can be sanctioned. But talks are said to be at an advanced stage, and the likelihood is that the deal will go through before the transfer window closes next week. The Black and Yellows are not expected to sign a replacement if Reyna leaves the club this month.
Gio Reyna - who joined Borussia Dortmund in 2019 - has made a total of 120 appearances for the club and has 17 goals and 16 assists to his name.
