Marcel Sabitzer capped off his international break with a goal, but could not prevent Austria from losing to Julian Ryerson and Norway on Monday evening.
Borussia Dortmund duo Marcel Sabitzer and Julian Ryerson squared off on Monday, as Norway hosted Austria in a Nations League Group B3 clash. Felix Horn Myhre gave Norway the early lead, before Sabitzer equalised in the 37th minute. Former BVB striker Erling Haaland had the final word, though, as he fired home the winning goal in the 80th minute.
The result puts Norway joint-top of Group B3 with four points, while Austria have one point after two matches.
Julien Duranville wins second cap for Belgium
Julien Duranville made his second appearance off the bench for the Belgium national team, but wasn't able to prevent them from suffering a 2-0 defeat to France in the UEFA Nations League. Randal Kolo Muani opened the scoring for France, before former Borussia Dortmund winger Ousmane Dembele made sure of the three points in this Group A2 match.
Jamie Gittens came off the bench and helped the England U-21s claim a 4-1 win over Austria in a friendly match.
Several Borussia Dortmund players have impressed over the course of this month's international break for their respective teams. Karim Adeyemi kicked things off with a sublime brace for Germany U-21s, while Pascal Groß impressed for the Germany senior team.
Donyell Malen, meanwhile, helped the Netherlands claim a 2-1 win over Bosnia and Herzagovina. He will be in action against Germany on Tuesday evening. Ramy Bensebaini also registered an assist during Algeria's 2-0 win over Equatorial Guinea.
