A defensive rearguard performance led to an unforgettable Der Klassiker win for Borussia Dortmund, as they stunned Bayern Munich 2-0.

Borussia Dortmund finally toppled Bayern Munich, ending a six year wait to beat their rivals in the Bundesliga. Led by some outstanding defending by the timless Mats Hummels, the Black and Yellows achieved what long seemed to be impossible and claimed a historic 2-0 win at the Allianz Arena.

Karim Adeyemi and Julian Ryerson came up with the goals that secured the win that will be remembered by Borussia Dortmund fans for a long time to come. Edin Terzic's side toiled hard for 90 minutes and kept Harry Kane and co. at bay more comfortably than they could have ever imagined.

The result significantly boosts Borussia Dortmund's hopes of qualifying for next season's UEFA Champions League, while all but marking an end to Bayern Munich's title challenge.
