Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United will in no doubt enter discourse ahead of the summer transfer window. After all, Jadon Sancho is currently on loan from United at Dortmund, so a decision must be made on his future.

Given how well the Englishman has performed on his return to the Bundesliga and, of course, given his immense involvement in Dortmund reaching the UEFA Champions League final, BVB would ideally like to keep him. However, it will all boil down to how well United fare in the negotiation chapter and how they value their player financially, compared to Dortmund's final valuation.

That said, there is expected to be one more Manchester United attacker who is of interest to Borussia Dortmund this summer. Indeed, according to The Mirror, Dortmund have entered the race to sign Mason Greenwood, who is due to return to Manchester United from his Getafe loan spell, only to have his future decided.

Greenwood's future in Manchester looks bleak. He was initially suspended from the club following his court case. The Crown Prosecution Service eventually dropped charges against Greenwood but he has spent his time since on loan at Getafe, scoring eight La Liga goals and providing six assists this season.

At this point in time, it does not look like there is a place in the starting lineup for Mason Greenwood. After all, the Red Devils have moved on since his loan spell and he hasn't developed at the same rate as Erik ten Hag would have liked.

The Mirror report raises the possibility of a potential double Dortmund signing from Manchester United, involving Jadon Sancho as well as Mason Greenwood. While nothing concrete has been reported on this matter, it is certainly a possibility, considering both players would benefit from joining BVB.

If, due to financial reasons, only one Manchester United attacker can be signed, then it must be Jadon Sancho. After all, the player understands Borussia Dortmund and he is Bundesliga proven. He has provided a lot to the club, even on his loan spell.

However, as mentioned, it will come down to finances and how Dortmund wish to allocate them in the summer transfer window. They have never been known as a club to spend big, after all.
