Borussia Dortmund will be looking to secure their place in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals for the first time in three years on Wednesday as they take on PSV Eindhoven.

A massive test awaits Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday evening against their former head coach Peter Bosz and PSV Eindhoven. The two sides played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg, which means that it will be all to play for at the Westfalenstadion.

Edin Terzic will hope to have the majority of his team available for selection, although Nico Schlotterbeck (suspension) and Sebastien Haller (injury) will miss the game on Wednesday evening. Here we take a look at how Borussia Dortmund could line up for their Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven.

Gregor Kobel missed the first leg due to a muscle injury. But he will likely be in the starting XI ahead of Alexander Meyer on Wednesday.

Ian Maatsen will start at left-back against his former club, with Julian Ryerson expected to slot in on the opposite flank. Although the latter is a doubt after missing team training on Tuesday.

Mats Hummels will likely replace Nico Schlotterbeck in the starting XI, with Niklas Süle set to start alongside him. Terzic may well be tempted to go with a back five to counter PSV's high octane pressing and attacking play.

Emre Can will likely keep his place in the starting XI despite his recent woes. The Borussia Dortmund captain has been heavily criticised in recent weeks, and his performance on Wednesday will certainly be under the microscope.

Marcel Sabitzer was sent off at the weekend, but that will not affect his chances of playing from the start against PSV. The Austrian international helped set up Donyell Malen's goal in the first leg. Julian Brandt could also keep his place in the starting XI in the attacking midfield role.

In attack, Borussia Dortmund will hope to see a rejuvenated Jadon Sancho following his goal against Werder Bremen. The Englishman will be eager to make an impact on the Champions League stage.

Donyell Malen is in blistering form at the moment and will look to score against his former club again on Wednesday. Niclas Füllkrug will round off the Borussia Dortmund attack, desperate to find the back of the net after going four games without a goal.

Expected Borussia Dortmund starting XI vs PSV Eindhoven: Kobel - Ryerson, Süle, Hummels, Maatsen - Can, Sabitzer, Brandt - Sancho, Malen - Füllkrug
