Borussia Dortmund may have to adjust their plans for the summer transfer window with long time transfer target Can Uzun seemingly leaning towards a move to Eintracht Frankfurt, per reports. Uzun had previously been strongly linked with a move to Dortmund as the club have been intensively working on making the move a reality.

Uzun has been seen as the perfect player for Dortmund to add to their ranks. In terms of what the player is likely looking for as he plans to make the jump to the next level, he will be prioritizing clubs where he will get as many minutes as possible as an attacking midfielder, which is where the player sees his future.

In terms of perspective, Dortmund could still offer the player significant minutes depending on the future(s) of certain players at the club. Depending on how Gio Reyna’s loan goes at Nottingham Forest, the club and player may part ways in the summer - a move that could make room for Uzun, for example. They face competition from a Frankfurt side that would likely be able to move Uzun into the starting 11 right away.

Uzun has scored 13 goals and provided 2 assists across the 2. Bundesliga and the DFB Pokal for Nürnburg. Based on his performances as the season continues, the asking price (which allegedly hovers around 10 million euros) may rise to reflect the player’s contribution and importance to his team.

While the report in question indicates that the player's future may be in Frankfurt, it's too early to count out other teams as there is still a substantial amount of time until the season is over. If they do want to secure the player's services, it is clear that Dortmund will have to act fast with so much additional interest coming Uzun's way.
