Borussia Dortmund to complete €7 million Pascal Groß deal
By Tushar Bahl
Borussia Dortmund are finally set to complete the signing of Pascal Groß from Brighton & Hove Albion for an initial fee of around seven million euros.
Pascal Groß will become Borussia Dortmund's third signing of the summer transfer window and will look to bolster the midfield that struggled to dominate matches last season. The 33 year old enjoyed an impressive late-career resurgence at Brighton, which earned him a spot in the Germany squad for Euro 2024, and now a move to BVB.
According to multiple reports, an agreement has finally been reached between Borussia Dortmund and Brighton over the transfer fee after complicated and long-drawn negotiations.

The English Premier League side will receive an initial fee of around seven million euros plus performance related add-ons for the midfielder. Groß already has an agreement in place on personal terms with the Black and Yellows, and will now undergo his medical tests before linking up with his new teammates at the training camp in Bad Ragaz.
Primarily a central midfielder, Groß is also capable of playing in the number six role and in attacking midfield. And he also filled in at full-back for Brighton last season when called upon. He has made a total of 261 appearances for Brighton, having joined them from FC Ingolstadt in 2017.
It will be interesting to see what role Nuri Sahin decides to use Pascal Groß in this season. He could either compete with Emre Can for the defensive midfield role, or with Marcel Sabitzer and Felix Nmecha for the number eight role in the team.
