Marco Reus will have his Borussia Dortmund farewell this weekend as the curtain comes down on the Bundesliga season with a home game against Darmstadt.

After 12 incredible years at Borussia Dortmund, Marco Reus will play his final home game for the club this weekend. The 34 year old is set for an emotional farewell at the Westfalenstadion on Saturday when the Black and Yellows take on Darmstadt in the Bundesliga.

There is not much on the line for either side heading into the final matchday of the 2023/24 Bundesliga season, with Borussia Dortmund guaranteed to finish fifth and Darmstadt already relegated. So Reus' farewell will be the main highlight, and the BVB legend will hope to bow out with a strong performance and a win.

This will also be Borussia Dortmund's final game before their Champions League final against Real Madrid on June 1. So Edin Terzic may look to field a full-strength side, especially after the woeful performance against Mainz 05 last weekend. We could see the likes of Mats Hummels, Jadon Sancho, Ian Maatsen, and Niclas Füllkrug return to the BVB starting XI.

In addition to Reus, the likes of Marius Wolf and Mateu Morey will also have their Borussia Dortmund farewells on Saturday. And the two full-backs could also be rewarded with some minutes on the pitch.

Darmstadt will have their sights set on playing spoilsport on what promises to be a very special and emotional day at the Westfalenstadion. They have already been relegated from the Bundesliga after a dismal season, and will be keen to ensure that they depart the top flight with a strong showing against Borussia Dortmund.

Darmstadt go into this weekend's game on the back of three straight defeats, and were beaten 6-0 by Hoffenheim last weekend.
