Edin Terzic has said that Felix Nmecha is working extremely hard as he looks to recover from the hip injury he has been sidelined with since November.

The season so far has certainly not gone according to plan for Felix Nmecha, who has been out of action with a hip injury since late November. It is still unclear when he will be able to make his return to training.

Edin Terzic provided an update on the midfielder's status during his press conference on Thursday, and said that he is working ever so hard in his bid to reach full fitness.

"Of course he's not happy that he isn't able to train and play with us. But Felix is an extremely positive person. There's not a day when he's not at the training ground and working extremely hard. He's here twice a day and is trying to do everything he can to get back fit as soon as possible."

Felix Nmecha joined Borussia Dortmund from VfL Wolfsburg in the summer for a fee of more than 30 million euros. The 23 year old struggled with fitness problems in the early weeks of the season, but was beginning to find his footing before picking up a hip injury against Stuttgart in November. It was decided by the club and the player to treat the issue conservatively.

Borussia Dortmund will certainly hope that Nmecha can return to action soon. The Germany international has made a total of 15 appearances so far for the Black and Yellows, and has one goal and two assists to his name.
