It is still uncertain when Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha will be able to recover from his hip injury and make his return to action.

Felix Nmecha picked up a hip injury during Borussia Dortmund's Bundesliga clash against VfB Stuttgart in November, and has already missed the team's last ten games. And it remains to be seen when the midfielder will be able to make his comeback, with BILD claiming that he is still in pain and is unable to run at full speed.

The tabloid adds that Borussia Dortmund's medical department is hoping to treat his hip issue conservatively, and surgery is not said to be an option at the moment.

The hope was that Nmecha would be fit in time for the start of BVB's mid-season training camp in Marbella. But Edin Terzic said earlier this month that they will have to be patient with the 23 year old for the next few weeks as he works on his recovery.

Borussia Dortmund signed Felix Nmecha from VfL Wolfsburg in the summer for a fee in excess of 30 million euros. The Germany international was signed as the direct replacement for Jude Bellingham following his big money move to Real Madrid. And while Nmecha has shown glimpses of his quality at BVB, he has also been forced to spend significant time on the sidelines due to various injuries.

Nmecha's absence has been heavily felt in the Borussia Dortmund midfield in recent games, and the hope at the club will be that he can return to action before long.
