"He is enjoying himself" - Edin Terzic hails Jadon Sancho's impact at Borussia Dortmund
Edin Terzic was full of praise of Jadon Sancho following his excellent performance in the first leg of Borussia Dortmund's Champions League semifinal against PSG.
Jadon Sancho set the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League alight earlier this week with a sublime performance for Borussia Dortmund. The Englishman caused havoc in and around the PSG box all game long, and was very unlucky not to end the game with at least one assist.
The 24 year old's performance saw him earn rave reviews from fans and analysts alike. And Edin Terzic also hailed Sancho's impact during his press conference on Friday. "We were very happy with Jadon's performance against PSG. He had a really great game. We've emphasised again and again that he shows us in every training session how good he is. He hadn't played for a long time, but now he's fit, bursting with energy, and enjoying playing for us."
Sancho was forced to spend the majority of the first half of the season on the sidelines due to a dispute with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag. He returned to Borussia Dortmund on a loan deal in January, and has slowly started to find his form. The forward has three goals and two assists to his name in 17 appearances across all competitions so far this season for BVB.
Wednesday's performance against PSG was without a doubt Sancho's best since his return to BVB. He will now hope to build on that and lead Borussia Dortmund's charge as they look to reach the final of the UEFA Champions League for the first time since 2013.
