Edin Terzic has revealed that Gio Reyna has not approached him with a desire to leave Borussia Dortmund, and thus remains in contention to play, amid interest from a number of clubs.
The future of Gio Reyna is the biggest talking point involving Borussia Dortmund heading into the final few days of the January transfer window. A number of clubs are in the race to sign the attacking midfielder, including the likes of Nottingham Forest, Olympique Marseille, Sevilla, and Real Sociedad.
A final decision on Reyna's future has not yet been made, nor have Borussia Dortmund reached an agreement with any club as of this writing.
Edin Terzic was asked about the USMNT international's future during his press conference ahead of Borussia Dortmund's home game against VfL Bochum. And the BVB head coach made it clear that Reyna remains available for selection, as he has not yet approached him with a desire to leave the club.
"Gio is fit and healthy, and therefore an option for the starting eleven with the absences we have. Gio hasn't approached me and expressed a desire to leave. Therefore, it is not an issue for me at the moment."
It has been widely reported in recent weeks that Gio Reyna is keen to leave Borussia Dortmund due to his lack of playing time. The 21 year old has only been used sporadically so far this season, and has less than 18 months left on his current contract.
