Gregor Kobel believes that Borussia Dortmund will need to be at their very best against VfL Bochum on Friday evening as they look to get back on track in the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund will be in Bundesliga action once again on Friday as they take on VfL Bochum at the Westfalenstadion. The 'mini Revierderby' will give the Black and Yellows the perfect opportunity to find some form again after last weekend's nightmarish 5-1 defeat to VfB Stuttgart.

Gregor Kobel is hopeful that BVB can show the right reaction on Friday evening and get back on track after the Stuttgart loss.

Gregor Kobel hoping for Borussia Dortmund reaction against Bochum

According to the goalkeeper, Borussia Dortmund can expect a tough test against Bochum. "I think Bochum have always played well against us. They also won against us two years ago. So we're certainly in for a tough game. They will want to clinch their first win, they will fight and go full throttle."

"For us, we have to react very quickly, show a different face to the last game and do everything we can to win the three points and get back on track," Kobel said in an interview with BVB-TV previewing the game.

While Bochum have yet to win a game this season, they have caused a fair few problems to Borussia Dortmund over the years. And they will certainly be keen to inflict more damage on Nuri Sahin's side, who are still reeling from last weekend's crushing result.

The stage is certainly set for another captivating edition of this Ruhr Derby contest. And it will be interesting to see if Borussia Dortmund can make a swift return to winning ways.
