"Seventh place is where we deserve to be" - Lars Ricken admits Borussia Dortmund's start has been far from ideal

Lars Ricken has admitted that Borussia Dortmund's start to the season in the Bundesliga has been far from ideal, and they deserve to be in seventh place at the moment.
Borussia Dortmund fell to their second defeat of the season this past weekend as they lost 2-1 to Union Berlin. The Black and Yellows have yet to win a game away from home in the Bundesliga, and have also conceded 11 goals in their last four matches in the league.
The pressure is already mounting on Nuri Sahin, with Didi Hamann questioning on Saturday why Borussia Dortmund decided to part ways with Edin Terzic at the end of last season.

Borussia Dortmund CEO for sport Lars Ricken backed Nuri Sahin during his appearance on BILD-TV on Sunday, but also said that seventh place in the Bundesliga standings is where they deserve to be at the moment.
"We're getting a lot of criticism. The problem is: I can't even scold the media or come down hard on Didi Hamann, because of course many of the things he keeps saying are true. But I also have to make it clear, [the players] not going through fire for Nuri Sahin or not running for him is, of course, complete nonsense," he said (via Ruhr Nachrichten).
Ricken added, "We have to put on a hard hat right now and endure the criticism. Seventh place is exactly where we deserve to be right now. Six matchdays is already more than just a snapshot."
Borussia Dortmund will hope to turn things around after the international break, and a number of big games lie in store for Nuri Sahin's side. Next up for BVB is a home game against St. Pauli in the Bundesliga, followed by a trip to Real Madrid in a rematch of last season's Champions League final.
