Didi Hamann questions Borussia Dortmund's decision to part ways with Edin Terzic

Didi Hamann has questioned Borussia Dortmund's decision to part ways with Edin Terzic and replace him with Nuri Sahin this past summer.
Borussia Dortmund have certainly not had the best of starts in the Bundesliga, losing two of their opening six matches. The Black and Yellows have also conceded 11 goals in their last four games in the league, a worrying record that Nuri Sahin will hope to fix over the international break.
Didi Hamann on Borussia Dortmund's decision to replace Edin Terzic with Nuri Sahin
Former Liverpool and Manchester City player Didi Hamann was critical of Borussia Dortmund's performance in their 2-1 defeat to Union Berlin on Saturday. And he questioned why the club decided to part ways with Edin Terzic in the summer.
"He was the most successful coach since Klopp. He won the cup, could have won the league on the last matchday two years ago and was in the Champions League final last year. When will Dortmund have something like that again? It could take ten or 20 years. And this coach was 'bullied away,'" Hamann said on Sky Sport on Saturday.
"They supposedly parted ways amicably and then the assistant coach took over. You have to be careful what you wish for. I think that, looking back, Dortmund would perhaps do one or two things differently, because the way it went down was not fair to Terzic and the only one who came out of the story with his head held high was Edin Terzic."
Edin Terzic made the surprise decision to resign as Borussia Dortmund head coach at the end of last season, and those in charge moved quickly to appoint Nuri Sahin.
The former BVB midfielder has shown glimpses of his tactical acumen, with the team now playing more attack-minded football. But the sloppy defending and performances away from home have especially left a lot to be desired.
Sahin will hope that his players can issue a response after the international break. Next up for Borussia Dortmund is a home game against St. Pauli in the Bundesliga.
