Manchester United set €47 million price tag for Borussia Dortmund target Jadon Sancho

Borussia Dortmund will have to pay a transfer fee of £40 million (€47 million) in order to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United this summer.
Jadon Sancho enjoyed a successful loan spell in the second half of the season with Borussia Dortmund, and is keen to extend his stay at the club. However, it remains to be seen if the Black and Yellows will be able to afford a permanent transfer for the Englishman. And it has now emerged they will need to pay a club record fee of 47 million euros to sign Sancho.
This is being reported by the BBC, who add that Manchester United will look to sell Sancho in the coming months and want a straight sale over another loan move. In addition to Borussia Dortmund, other clubs in Europe have also shown interest in signing the 24 year old.
Borussia Dortmund would prefer to sign Sancho on loan with an option/obligation to buy, as this would allow them to prioritise strengthening other key positions in the squad this summer.
Sancho still has two years left on his current contract with Manchester United, having joined the Premier League club on a big-money deal from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.
The forward struggled to make his mark for Manchester United, and was suspended from the first-team by manager Erik ten Hag before returning to BVB on loan in January. He scored three goals and assisted a further three in 21 appearances in the second half of the season, and helped Edin Terzic’s side reach the Champions League final.
