Nuri Sahin backs Maximilian Beier to succeed at Borussia Dortmund amid slow start

Nuri Sahin is confident that Maximilian Beier will succeed at Borussia Dortmund despite the striker's slow start following his big-money move from TSG Hoffenheim.
Borussia Dortmund made big changes in attack this summer, parting ways with four strikers and signing Serhou Guirassy (VfB Stuttgart) and Maximilian Beier (TSG Hoffenheim). With Guirassy still injured, Beier was tasked with leading the BVB attack for their Bundesliga clash against Werder Bremen this past weekend.
The highly rated forward did not have the best of afternoons on his first BVB start, as he was limited to just 17 touches of the ball and failed to even get a single shot on goal.
"Maximilian Beier will become very important for Borussia Dortmund" - Nuri Sahin
It has been clear from his one start and two substitute appearances that Beier is still getting used to life at Borussia Dortmund. While the 21 year old has not been able to hit the ground running, Nuri Sahin is confident that he will find his groove in the coming weeks.
"He's new to us. He has to integrate. He has to get to know the boys, they have to get to know him," Sahin said (via Ruhr Nachrichten). "He had to suffer because we weren't really in the game [in Bremen]. He's behaving impeccably, he's soaking everything up. I'm not worried about Maxi at all. Every game, every minute he plays with us, we'll get to know each other better. It wasn't down to him at all. And he will become very important for us."
Maximilian Beier is coming off a breakthrough season in the Bundesliga, having scored 16 goals in just 35 appearances for TSG Hoffenheim. He no doubt has the talent and quality to succeed at Borussia Dortmund, and will hope to showcase his goalscoring prowess in the coming weeks and months.
