It appears increasingly likely that Borussia Dortmund will part ways with highly rated midfielder Abdoulaye Kamara in the summer.

Signed from Paris Saint-Germain in 2021, Abdoulaye Kamara has not been able to live up to his potential so far at Borussia Dortmund. The talented midfielder has yet to make his first-team debut, with a string of injuries and fitness issues halting his progress. According to Ruhr Nachrichten, a move away from the club in the summer appears to be the likeliest solution for both sides, provided a buyer can be found.

Italian giants Juventus were said to be seriously interested in signing Kamara last summer, but a move failed to materialise in the end.

The 19 year old has primarily played for the Borussia Dortmund U-23s this season, and has made 11 appearances in the 3. Liga. He has been forced to deal with a number of injuries this season, and has been sidelined with a torn muscle fibre since the turn of the year. He has managed to complete 90 minutes on the pitch just once this season - against AC Milan in the UEFA Youth League group stage.

Abdoulaye Kamara is a defensive midfielder and has shown glimpses of his quality whenever he has featured for Edin Terzic's side in friendly matches, and also for the U-23s. But his chances of making his first-team breakthrough at Borussia Dortmund do not appear to be very high. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Kamara, who has 18 months left on his current contract with Borussia Dortmund.
