Borussia Dortmund are said to be leading the race to sign Serhou Guirassy, and would like to make their offer for the striker soon to fend off interest from other clubs.

Those in charge at Borussia Dortmund are keen to sign a new striker this summer, and Serhou Guirassy of VfB Stuttgart has been identified as the club’s top target. The 28 year old is available for a cut-price fee of 18 million euros thanks to a release clause in his contract. And according to BILD, the Black and Yellows want to make their first offer for the striker soon.

The reason for this is that a number of other clubs are also interested in signing Guirassy, who scored 30 goals in 30 appearances for Stuttgart in the recently concluded season. Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, and clubs from the English Premier League are all said to be targeting the towering striker. But Fabrizio Romano claims that Borussia Dortmund are the favourites for his signature.

The report from BILD adds that Borussia Dortmund are willing to pay Guirassy an annual salary of eight million euros, in addition to a signing fee and a long-term contract. The striker is keen to stay in the Bundesliga, and a move to BVB would also allow him to play regularly at the top level.

If Borussia Dortmund do manage to complete the signing of Serhou Guirassy, they would have a surplus of strikers in their ranks. Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko are both said to be free to leave BVB this summer.
