Report: Borussia Dortmund open to offers for all but six players
By Tushar Bahl
Borussia Dortmund are reportedly willing to listen to offers for all but six of their first-team players in the summer transfer window.
The summer transfer window is almost upon us, and squad planning is underway at Borussia Dortmund as they look to mount a challenge for the Bundesliga title next season. Those in charge will have their task cut out as they look to part ways with unwanted players and make room for new signings.
A major upheaval could be on the cards at Borussia Dortmund, with Ruhr Nachrichten reporting that only six players are seen as part of the club's core. These players are Gregor Kobel, Nico Schlotterbeck, Emre Can, Marcel Sabitzer, Julian Brandt and Niclas Füllkrug. And the BVB bosses want to build the team around them.
According to the newspaper, Borussia Dortmund would be willing to at least listen to offers for the rest of the squad. Youssoufa Moukoko, Sebastien Haller, Gio Reyna, Niklas Süle and Salih Özcan are among the players who are considered as potential candidates for transfer.
Borussia Dortmund will no doubt have to be patient this summer, with Euro 2024 and Copa America set to disrupt the summer transfer window. Sebastian Kehl and co. will hope that BVB's recent run to the Champions League final will help generate interest in the players they are keen to sell.
It has been reported in recent weeks that Borussia Dortmund could look to sign a new striker, a centre-back, a full-back, a defensive midfielder and a striker this summer. Serhou Guirassy, Ian Maatsen, Waldemar Anton and Chris Führich are among the names on BVB's list of targets for this summer.
