Report: Sergio Reguilon, Fran Garcia among Borussia Dortmund's left-back targets

Sergio Reguilon and Fran Garcia are two left-backs Borussia Dortmund could look to target in the January transfer window.
It is fast becoming apparent that Borussia Dortmund will be signing a new left-back in the January transfer window. Budget constraints, as well as the eventual returns of Julian Ryerson (knee injury) and Ramy Bensebaini (Africa Cup of Nations duty for Algeria) mean that the Black and Yellows may well be forced into looking for a temporary solution.
According to Sky Sport, two names on Borussia Dortmund's list of targets are Sergio Reguilon and Fran Garcia. The former is currently on loan at Manchester United, while the latter has largely been limited to a back-up role at Real Madrid.
Sergio Reguilon has only made ten appearances for Manchester United so far this season. The 27 year old has the option to cut short his loan spell from Tottenham Hotspur in January. And that could become a distinct possibility if Borussia Dortmund come calling with the prospect of regular playing time. The report adds that the BVB bosses have already made an enquiry for him.
Fran Garcia came through the youth team ranks at Real Madrid and returned to the club last summer after three years at Rayo Vallecano. While the 24 year old has only been used sporadically this season by Carlo Ancelotti, he still has more than three years left on his conract.
With Borussia Dortmund having less than ten million euros to spend on a new left-back, it remains to be seen if they will be able to afford a move for Garcia.
