Sebastian Kehl has stated that he is happy with the additions Borussia Dortmund have made to their squad this summer, and the focus for the final few days of the transfer window will be on outgoings.
Borussia Dortmund have had a busy summer transfer window, with five new signings and plenty of outgoings as well. A few more players could leave the club before the transfer window closes, and reports continue to claim that BVB are still on the hunt for a new left-back.
"Let's wait and see" - Sebastian Kehl on Borussia Dortmund's plans for final days of transfer window
When asked about the potential for further new signings before the transfer window closes ahead of the 2024 SportBILD awards ceremony, Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl said (via Kicker), "We've already signed a lot of players this year, to be honest. I'm very happy with the additions. But let's wait and see what else will happen."
"There will certainly be one or two topics this week that will also be hotly discussed. Nothing has happened at the moment - but we are still preparing for certain scenarios. I've also hinted that something will happen this week. Let's wait and see what that will be. We'll try to do one or two things.”
Borussia Dortmund are parting ways with Youssoufa Moukoko, who is joining OGC Nice on an initial loan deal with an option to buy. In addition, Salih Özcan could also leave the club before the transfer window closes. Wolfsburg are said to be interested in signing the defensive midfielder.
Whether Borussia Dortmund will end up further strengthening their squad remains to be seen. But the club is set for a busy end to what has been a whirlwind transfer window.
