Sebastian Kehl provides Borussia Dortmund injury update ahead of Celtic clash

Sebastian Kehl has given an update on Borussia Dortmund's injured players ahead of their UEFA Champions League matchday two clash against Celtic on Tuesday.

Borussia Dortmund will be in Champions League action at the Westfalenstadion on Tuesday eveing as they take on Celtic. The Scottish giants could offer a tough test to Nuri Sahin's side, having made a strong start to their season.

The Black and Yellows were already without the injured Gio Reyna and Marcel Sabitzer for their Bundesliga clash against VfL Bochum on Friday. While Jamie Gittens was forced to come off after picking up what appeared to be an injury.

But Sebastian Kehl has provided a positive update on the status of Gittens ahead of Tuesday's game against Celtic. "Jamie had cramps, but it shouldn't be anything serious. we hope that everyone will be available on Tuesday. Because we will need them."

The BVB sporting director also commented on Sabitzer's injury after Friday's game against Bochum. "Marcel is injured and unfortunately hasn't been able to train for the last two days. Nevertheless, we hope that he will be fit again to play on Tuesday."

Borussia Dortmund could also welcome back Gio Reyna into the squad on Tuesday. The playmaker picked up a groin injury on international duty with the United States earlier this month but is now close to returning to full fitness.

Gittens proved to be the game-changer for Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League opener against Club Brugge as he came off the bench and scored a crucial brace.
