Serhou Guirassy has revealed his stance on a potential move to Borussia Dortmund, amid the club’s interest in his signature.
Borussia Dortmund are keen to bring in a new striker this summer, and Serhou Guirassy appears to be their top target. The Black and Yellows are said to be leading the race for the VfB Stuttgart star, who scored 30 goals in just 30 appearances for the Swabians in the recently concluded season.
Guirassy has now had his say on rumours linking him with a move to Borussia Dortmund, and has admitted that joining the club is indeed a possibility. In an interview with Sky Sport, the 28 year old hailed BVB as a very big club.
“Definitely,” Guirassy said when asked if he can imagine joining Borussia Dortmund. "It's a very big club. But nothing is advanced, I'm still under contract at VfB Stuttgart. I was with the national team, and now it's time for vacation. We'll know what will happen in a few weeks."
Borussia Dortmund are set to face competition from the likes of Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, and AC Milan in the race to sign Guirassy. The striker has a release clause of 18 million euros in his contract with Stuttgart.
If Borussia Dortmund do manage to complete the signing of Serhou Guirassy this summer, they would have four strikers in their first-team ranks. Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko are reportedly free to leave BVB this summer. Guirassy would then compete with Niclas Füllkrug for a spot in the BVB starting XI.
