Borussia Dortmund beat Sabah FK 2-1 in the Champions League. A brace from Serhou Guirassy ended their three-game winless run as the BVB held off their spirited hosts late on.

The Guinean put visitors in front after 10 minutes, but Aden McCarthy equalized for the Black and Yellow in the 39th minute.

Guirassy restored Dortmund's lead eight minutes into the second half with a lovely finish from close-range though the Owls remained a threat from the counter.

With two wins in three League Phase matches, Dortmund have once again booted their progression hopes, while Sabah's incredible run of five consecutive home wins in Europe ends tonight.

Yet, the BVB faithful weren't fully convinced with their side's performance tonight, taking to X to slam their disappointing style of play. Here are some of the best reactions:

One X user tweeted:

"Never before has a Borussia Dortmund coach had the team play such "anti-football."
No fan can identify with this crap.
We haven’t dominated a single match this season, nor have we put in a single brilliant performance. Kovac 2029"

This BVB just succinctly wrote:

"Great"

One fan wrote:

"Truly embarrassing"

Another fan discontent with their playing style wrote:

"Week after week, you find yourself wondering why you even take the time to watch this rubbish."

The win didn't feel like a win for some these supporters:

"Absolute garbage—what kind of game was that, anyway? Even though we won, it feels like a defeat because there’s simply no sign of any development."

The sentiment was shared by another fan:

"Feels like a draw or a defeat.

An embarrassing performance."

This fan chastized Kovac for overlooking the young guns:

"Barely managed a win against a third-rate opponent. And our super-talents, once again, got zero minutes of playing time.

The coach just hates the youth players."

The result didn't stop this X user from forboarding poor results in their forthcoming European ties:

"That was truly the lowest point so far; things cannot go on like this. When will Kovac learn that he needs to work on the formation or tactics, instead of stubbornly sticking to the same approach? I’m very pessimistic about the upcoming Champions League matches."

One staunch BVB supporter took pride in their win, regardless:

"In the end, what matters most is the win. That said, it wasn’t a good performance from us. Against an opponent like this, we really need to offer much more, especially in attack. But for now, we have the win—onward we go! BVB—our whole life, our greatest pride! 🖤🖤💛💛"
