"Well done Ethan" - Arsenal fans react as Nwaneri wins it for Dortmund on his debut

Ethan Nwaneri has garnered glorious praise from the Arsenal supporters after his heroics for Borussia Dortmund against Hoffenheim on Saturday.

The 19-year-old, signed on a season-long loan from the Premier League champions, came off the bench to force an own goal that led to BVB winning 3-2 in Sinsheim.

Following a lovely one-two with Fabio Silva, Nwaneri darted forward into the box and looked to cross it for Guirassy, but Albian Hajdari inadvertently turned the ball into his own net.

Having trailed 2-0 in the match, the BVB now led 3-2 in the 86th minute and saw off the remainder of the clash to beat Hoffenheim in a truly epic comeback victory.

Despite his talents, Nwaneri was behind in the pecking order under Mikel Arteta and had been linked with an exit this summer, which finally came to pass on 1 September.

Dortmund, who had been linked with him last summer too, came back for him as replacement for Giannis Konstantelias after the Greek gun suffered a torn ACL last weekend that's now set to sideline him for five to six months.

Upon making a big impact in his first appearance for BVB since the transfer, jubilant Arsenal fans took to X to hail the star in high regard:

Another fan felt Dortmund are yet to see the best from Nwaneri:
