The hottest name in the media right now is former Bayern Münich manager Niko Kovac. According to Florian Plettenberg from SkySports, Kovac has been discussed internally at BVB and could be a come-in for Sahin immediately. However, Kovac could become some type of "gap solution," which means that he could fill in as manager until the end of the season as BVB moves on in the summer, BILD called.

As Plettenberg also reported, Roger Schmidt would be a "dream solution" for BVB. However, the former Benfica boss would be unlikely to accept the role midway through the season. Therefore, if Dortmund waits and he is still free in the market, Schmidt could also become a summer option.

Another famous name on the list is former Manchester United manager Erik ten Haag, whose name has been strongly linked to Dortmund in recent days. According to SkySports journalist Lyall Thomas, both ten Haag and Schmidt are unlikely to accept Dortmund's manager role at this stage.

Lastly, Sebastian Hoeneß from Stuttgart is also a name ventilated in the club for the summer. Still, BVB fans shall remain and wait for whether Dortmund decides on an immediate replacement for Sahin or a gap solution until the summer transfer window. But who would be your ideal option?
