Borussia Dortmund suffer Brandt blow

Julian Brandt was crunched by an early Lars Bender tackle in the first half that ended with him being subbed off at half-time. There were videos of him still limping pretty significantly after the game which begs the question of why he was allowed to continue in the first place. This is a massive blow to Borussia Dortmund without a question and if he is injured for any amount of time it could derail their season.

Julian Brandt has been Dortmund’s best player since switching to central midfield. Yes, Jadon Sancho’s goal involvement is insane and he is exceptional and Erling Haaland has been scoring goals at will, but don’t be fooled Julian Brandt has been Dortmund’s engine. He is the reason those players get the ball in those attacking positions the majority of the time.

Fingers crossed the injury isn’t too bad as, Borussia Dortmund are already missing Reus, losing Brandt would be horrible with the run of important games coming up.
