Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo have denied reports claiming that Barcelona could make a move for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho this summer.

Jadon Sancho has attracted the interest of some of Europe’s biggest clubs thanks to his exemplary performances over the last 18 months. The Borussia Dortmund winger is being heavily linked with a move to the English Premier League, but recently BILD claimed that La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested in signing him.

BILD’s report followed claims from Diario SPORT saying that Borussia Dortmund could make a move for Barcelona teenager Ansu Fati if Sancho leaves this summer.

Claims of Barcelona’s interest in Sancho have now been denied by Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, who say that the Catalan giants have ruled out a move for the highly rated Englishman. They reportedly feel that the position is well covered and have other objectives for the summer transfer window.

The BVB bosses are seeking a transfer fee of 130 million euros for Sancho, with Manchester United thought to be the front-runners for his signature. However, it remains to be seen if any club will be able to meet Borussia Dortmund’s asking price for the 20 year old. The Black and Yellows are under no pressure to sell, with Sancho’s current contract with the club not due to expire until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Sancho has been one of Borussia Dortmund’s most important players this season, with 17 goals and 16 assists to his name. Michael Zorc said earlier this week that he is ‘totally relaxed’ about the winger’s future.
