Michael Zorc has reiterated that Jadon Sancho will only leave this summer if Borussia Dortmund’s asking price is met in full.

There have been a lot of rumours about Jadon Sancho’s future in recent months, with Manchester United currently the only team in the race for his signature this summer. Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc confirmed earlier this week that Der BVB are already keeping an eye on one or two players who could potentially replace him.

And the former Borussia Dortmund captain has now confirmed once again that Sancho will only be sold if the timing is right and their conditions are met. Speaking to Funke Sport (subscription required), Zorc said:

"“Jadon has a valid contract with us, and we would be very happy if he would still be with us next season. In order to even think about anything else, first of all, the timing would have to be right, and secondly, our price expectations would have to be met 100%.”"

It was reported earlier this month that the Black and Yellows are demanding a fee in the range of 120 million euros for the England international, and they want his future to be sorted by early August. Borussia Dortmund have yet to receive any offers for the 20 year old, who has two years remaining on his current contract with the club.

While Borussia Dortmund would like to keep Sancho for at least another year, they are already looking at alternatives. Funke Sport mention Valencia winger Ferran Torres and Sporting Lisbon forward Joelson Fernandes as two names who have been scouted in recent months. The report adds that the entirety of the transfer fee will not be re-invested towards signing a replacement.

Sancho scored 20 goals and provided 18 assists in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund this season, so replacing him certainly won’t be an easy task.
