Felix Passlack (4.5/10)

Passlack endured a difficult evening and really struggled with his decision making going forward. He found himself in some really good positions, but often ended up slowing down the Borussia Dortmund attacks.

Axel Witsel (7/10)

Witsel showed his accuracy by finding the bottom corner from the edge of a crowded penalty box. The Belgian international has struggled for form in recent weeks, but hopefully the goal will give him some much needed confidence. Though he will feel that he should have stayed with Sebastian Driussi instead of letting him roam free in the build-up to his opener for Zenit.

Jude Bellingham (7.5/10)

Bellingham was Borussia Dortmund’s best player on the night, showing more desire and fight than anyone else on the pitch. He was always looking to make late runs into the box. And one of those late runs nearly resulted in the equaliser. But unfortunately, he ended up heading the ball just over the bar. The 17 year old also showed great intent and energy with his passing.

Nico Schulz (6/10)

Schulz was much more active down the left flank than he was at the weekend. He set up the chance for Bellingham and made a number of good forward runs. His decision making wasn’t always the best, but it was certainly a step in the right direction for the German international.
