Borussia Dortmund player ratings vs Wolfsburg: Akanji, Sancho score to seal vital 2-0 win
By Tushar Bahl
Thomas Delaney (7.5/10)
Delaney outshone Witsel once again, proving to be an aggressive and committed presence in midfield. He wasn’t afraid of getting stuck in and was always looking to win the ball back quickly. He also covered the most distance on the pitch (12.5 km) and won the majority of his duels. The Dane is fast becoming a vital player in the team, and he certainly deserves to start against Leipzig next weekend.
Axel Witsel (5/10)
Witsel spent a lot of the first half chasing bodies and was somewhat fortunate that his hand-ball in the box did not result in a penalty. As we have so often seen this season, the Belgian international struggled to set the tempo up for the team and often slowed the attacking play down with his laboured passing.
