Team News

It will be a case of one midfielder in, one midfielder out for Borussia Dortmund on Friday. Emre Can will return to the side after missing the last game through suspension. While Thomas Delaney is out after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season on Tuesday.

Long-term absentees Axel Witsel, Thorgan Hazard and Marcel Schmelzer remain out for Borussia Dortmund. While Dan-Axel Zagadou is also injured.

Gladbach will welcome Marcus Thuram back from suspension, while Breel Embolo will also return after missing the mid-week game due to a COVID-19 protocol breach. Valentino Lazaro will miss the game with a groin injury, while Joe Scally is a doubt as well.
