Borussia Dortmund will have to make do without Roman Bürki for their Bundesliga clash against TSG Hoffenheim. According to BILD, the goalkeeper is still out with a shoulder injury and will not be fit in time for Saturday’s game. Marwin Hitz, who struggled in the defeat to SC Freiburg last weekend, will keep his place in the team.

It remains to be seen at the moment if Bürki will be fit in time for Borussia Dortmund’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg clash against Sevilla on Wednesday.

In addition to Bürki, the Black and Yellows will also be without Thomas Meunier, Dan Axel Zagadou and Lukasz Piszczek on Saturday. But Thorgan Hazard is back in the team training and could be an option to make the squad again, after spending six weeks on the sidelines.

Borussia Dortmund’s goalkeeping situation: Peter Gulacsi speculation continues

Roman Bürki’s future has been the subject of a lot of speculation, with reports claiming that Borussia Dortmund will look to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer. BILD report that BVB could target Peter Gulacsi, who has a release clause in his contract and would be available for a cut price fee of 12.5 million euros.

The RB Leipzig goalkeeper said earlier this week that he can imagine staying with the Saxony based club for a long time. But BILD believe that this could be also be a clear hint to the BVB bosses as part of the transfer poker.

The tabloid adds that in order to convince Gulacsi to sign for the club, Borussia Dortmund would have to offer him a higher salary than he currently earns at RB Leipzig (which is five million euros per year).
