Erling Haaland has played Schalke only twice, but has scored on both occasions. And don’t be surprised if he adds to that tally this weekend. The 20 year old will be full of confidence, having netted a brace against Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
Another player who will be determined to shine on Saturday is Marco Reus. The Borussia Dortmund captain got an assist against Sevilla and will want to build on that performance this weekend. Reus has six goals and six assists to his name in just 15 appearances against the Royal Blues.
It has been a dismal season so far for Schalke 04. And if they are to stand any chance of getting something out of the game on Saturday, they will need key striker Matthew Hoppe to have a good game. The 19 year old is Schalke’s joint top scorer this season with five goals to his name. He could cause a few problems to the Dortmund defence.
