Mino Raiola: Only ten clubs can afford to buy Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund

Erling Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola believes that the striker will be one of the future stars of the next decade, and only a maximum of ten clubs can afford to sign him when he eventually leaves Borussia Dortmund. In an interview with the BBC, Raiola said:
"“He will be one of the future stars of the next decade because we see that stars such as Ibrahimovic, Ronaldo and Messi are coming to an age where everyone asks themselves: ‘How long can we still enjoy them?’ So everyone is looking for the new generation.”"
Haaland only joined Borussia Dortmund from RB Salzburg in January 2020, but his future has been the subject of constant speculation in recent months. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are all said to be interested in signing the 20 year old, who still has three and a half years remaining on his BVB contract.
"“Only a maximum of 10 clubs can afford to buy [Haaland] and give the platform you would like after you’ve been in Dortmund… and four of those clubs are in [England],” Raiola added.“I don’t think there’s a sports director or trainer in the world who would say ‘not interested’. It’s like saying: ‘Is there a Formula 1 team who would not be interested in having Lewis Hamilton?'”"
Since joining Borussia Dortmund, Erling Haaland has scored an incredible 43 goals in just 43 appearances, including ten in seven UEFA Champions League matches. His performances have helped him establish himself as one of Europe’s best strikers. Borussia Dortmund captain Marco Reus called Haaland “an absolute machine” after the striker scored a brace against Schalke 04 last weekend.
He has said on numerous occasions that he is happy at Borussia Dortmund and wants to help the club win trophies. The BVB bosses also have no plans to sell their star striker this summer. While Mino Raiola also said in December that his client is very happy with the Black and Yellows.
The Norwegian international reportedly has a release clause in his contract, but it does not come into effect until the end of next season. There has also been a lot of ambiguity about his release clause. Some reports claim that Haaland would cost 75 million euros in 2022, while others say that his release clause is close to the 100 million euros mark.
