Premier League clubs reportedly keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud is attracting interest from several Premier League sides, with Daily Mail reporting that Chelsea and Manchester City are interested in signing him. The tabloid adds that Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are also monitoring the 25 year old, who has just over 12 months left on his current BVB contract.
Dahoud has been enjoying quite the resurgence in recent weeks, and is currently in the best form of his Borussia Dortmund career. After only being used sporadically in the first half of the season, the German international has become a regular for the Black and Yellows since starring in the 3-2 win over Sevilla last month.
Dahoud’s Borussia Dortmund future looked very bleak in January after a verbal row with head coach Edin Terzic. Olympique Marseille, AS Monaco and US Sassuolo were reportedly interested in signing him in the January transfer window, but the BVB bosses did not want to sell him then. And his recent performances have seemingly attracted the attention of Premier League sides.
It remains to be seen what Borussia Dortmund’s plans are with Mahmoud Dahoud. If he continues his current run of form, it is likely that he will be offered a contract extension by the club. BVB sporting director Michael Zorc heaped praise on Dahoud last month for his recent performances.
Mahmoud Dahoud has made a total of 19 appearances for Borussia Dortmund so far this season, scoring twice, including in the 3-2 win in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie against Sevilla.
