Michael Zorc has backed Erling Haaland to find his form before long despite the Borussia Dortmund striker’s recent struggles in front of goal. The 20 year old has not been able to score in any of his last seven games for his club and country, which is quite a long time for a player with his lofty standards.

Erling Haaland’s last goal came almost a month ago, when he scored a brace in the 2-2 draw against FC Köln in the Bundesliga. But Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc is not too worried about the striker’s lack of goals in recent games. In an interview with WAZ, Zorc said:

"“People often forget that he is only 20, and sometimes he himself does too. So it’s quite normal if things don’t go according to plan at times, especially in phases, at this age. He will score his goals for us again soon, don’t worry.”"

While Haaland has not been able to find the net himself, he has been heavily involved in a number of BVB’s goals in recent games. He played a crucial role in both of his side’s goals in the Champions League quarterfinal against Manchester City recently, and also assisted Ansgar Knauff’s winner against VfB Stuttgart last weekend.

Speculation about Haaland’s future has dominated headlines in recent weeks, with his agent traveling to Spain earlier this month to hold talks with Real Madrid and Barcelona regarding the striker’s future. But the Borussia Dortmund bosses remain adamant that the Norwegian international will not be sold this summer.
