Edin Terzic turns down Eintracht Frankfurt job; likely to stay at Borussia Dortmund

Edin Terzic has reportedly turned down the chance to become the new Eintracht Frankfurt head coach, and is now likely to stay on at Borussia Dortmund.
According to the Kölner Stadt Anzeige, Edin Terzic personally informed Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche on Tuesday evening that he will not be taking on the job. The report adds that after an emotional season with Borussia Dortmund, Terzic is not ready to take over as head coach at another Bundesliga club just yet.
Eintracht Frankfurt are looking for a new head coach to replace Adi Hütter, who will join Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer. Terzic has been heavily linked with the Eintracht Frankfurt job in recent weeks. But now it looks like the Eagles will have to look elsewhere.
Bayer Leverkusen were also thought to be interested in appointing Edin Terzic, but they announced the arrival of Gerardo Seoane on Wednesday.
Terzic has led an impressive turnaround at Borussia Dortmund since taking over as head coach following Lucien Favre’s sacking in December. The 38 year old led the Black and Yellows to DFB-Pokal success, and also helped them secure a top four finish in the Bundesliga last week.
Hans-Joachim Watzke heaped praise on Terzic following Borussia Dortmund’s DFB-Pokal triumph last week. The BVB CEO also said earlier this week that they would prefer to keep Terzic, but added that they would be open to talks if he wants to take on another job.
With Marco Rose set to become Borussia Dortmund head coach in the summer, Terzic is currently expected to stay on as part of his coaching staff next season.
