Borussia Dortmund are being heavily linked with a move for RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi, and a report now claims that they have already held talks with the player’s agent.
Earlier this week, Sky Sport reported that Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Liverpool are among the clubs interested in signing RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi. The report has now been confirmed by Sport1, who add that Michael Zorc and Sebastian Kehl have already held talks with the player’s agent.
Adeyemi appears set to leave RB Salzburg next summer, and a move to the German Bundesliga seems to be his preference. Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Liverpool are all in the race to sign Adeyemi. Sport1 add that Borussia Dortmund head coach Marco Rose is a big fan of the 19 year old.
The report also claims that Adeyemi is not viewed by the club as a potential successor to Erling Haaland, who could leave next summer. Haaland is attracting the interest of a number of big clubs, but the Black and Yellows are still hopeful of convincing him to stay.
RB Salzburg reportedly want a fee in the region of 30-35 million euros for Adeyemi. While the player and his entourage want a decision on his future to be made by the winter.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Adeyemi, who has been scoring goals for fun this season. The highly rated forward has already found the net 11 times in just 16 appearances for RB Salzburg this season. His performances for the Austrian giants saw him earn his first Germany cap last month.
