Raphael Guerreiro reportedly does not want to renew his contract with Borussia Dortmund, and the defender has apparently already been offered to FC Barcelona.

Raphael Guerreiro’s future at Borussia Dortmund has come under a fair bit of doubt in recent weeks. His contract is set to expire at the end of next season, and the BVB bosses reportedly have reservations about offering him a new deal. Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo now claims that the left-back has been offered to FC Barcelona.

According to the newspaper, FC Barcelona would like to sign a new left-back this summer. And Guerreiro, who reportedly wants to make a fresh start this summer, believes that he is perfectly suited to Barcelona’s style of play. The report adds that Borussia Dortmund would like a transfer fee in the region of 8-10 million euros for the 28 year old.

Guerreiro is currently Borussia Dortmund’s first-choice left-back, but he has been forced to deal with a number of injury problems this season. And his defensive lapses have also left fans frustrated on a number of occasions. Guerreiro has made 27 appearances for BVB so far this season, and has five goals and four assists to his name.

The Portuguese international said in February that he would be willing to extend his contract with Borussia Dortmund. So it remains to be seen just how much truth there is to this rumour.

The Black and Yellows have been linked with a move for Borussia Mönchengladbach left-back Ramy Bensebaini in recent weeks. But in order to sign him, they must first sell Raphael Guerreiro and Nico Schulz.
