Germany are third at the half way stage of the group phase, but a win on Tuesday would see them leapfrog leaders Italy in the standings. The Euro 2020 winners have won one and drawn two of their opening three games.
These two sides last met just ten days ago, when Joshua Kimmich’s goal helped Germany claim a 1-1 draw after Lorenzo Pellegrini had given Italy the lead.

Nico Schlotterbeck and Niklas Süle both started against Hungary, and may well be given a rest on Tuesday. Marco Reus remains sidelined with his thigh injury, but Serge Gnabry could be involved after returning to training on Monday.
Italy have a number of exciting youngsters in their ranks, and it will be interesting to see what XI Roberto Mancini decides to go with on Tuesday. They played out a goalless draw against England on Saturday.
